The bad news keeps piling up for Samoa Joe. The SoCal Star has been suspended by WWE for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy. The announcement was made by the company Tuesday afternoon on Twitter.

WWE issued a statement on their website:
WWE has suspended Nuufolau Seanoa (Samoa Joe) for 30 days effective Monday, February 24, for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
The suspension comes less than a week after Joe suffered a head injury while filming a commercial for WWE by when he took a bump during a bad table break. This is especially concerning given Joe’s history of concussions, which has lead to a number of wrestlers having early undesired retirements from in-ring action.
There’s no word available at this time on what Joe was specifically suspended for. It’s entirely possible the suspension is due to something he was taking to help manage the pain from his recent injury. We’ll be sure to update our report if the information becomes available.
